In the previous article I talked about the need for planning for electrical supply for Tiffany wall sconces and Tiffany hanging pendant lighting. Tiffany wall sconces provide wonderful indirect lighting to warm up a room.
How do you get this effect if you can’t rewire the room for Tiffany wall sconces. The answer, Tiffany torchieres. Tiffany torchieres are a descendant of the wall mounted torches used in Castles to provide general lighting. With the advent of electricity and the electric light bulb torches were eliminated for obvious reasons. The Tiffany torchiere uses the same lighting principle as a torch to cast the light up to the ceiling. It is basically a Tiffany floor lamp with the shade inverted to cast the light upward. They work best in a corner of any given room. They allows the light to reflect off two walls and the ceiling for a warm glowing effect. Try using two Tiffany torchieres in opposite corners of a room to create a balanced look.
