Lighting small work areas or niche areas in any room can be a challenge. The most common answer is a Tiffany table lamp, a Tiffany floor lamp, or a Tiffany accent lamp.
Unfortunately this may be and unsatisfactory solution to the problem. Floor space or table space may be to restrictive for those solutions. When faced with this dilemma try a Tiffany mini pendant. A Tiffany mini pendant is a fixture hung from the ceiling by a chain or pole with one light. The shade is usually no more than 10′ in diameter. When properly installed it will place just the right amount of light in the desired location. This is another fixture that is best controlled with a dimmer switch.
A review of terminology relating to Tiffany style lighting. Mica: A natural mineral bonded with shellac to create a light diffuser, usually available in Silver or Amber. May be used in Tiffany chandeliers, Tiffany table lamps, Tiffany floor lamps, and Tiffany hanging pendants.
Mini Pendants:A surface mounted one light fixture consisting of a single pole or chain, extended from the ceiling with a shade no larger than 10” in diameter. May be seen as Tiffany mini pendants. Excellent for spotlighting a small work area.
Night Light:A small portable light that plugs directly into an electrical outlet. May be found as Tiffany accent lights.

Micro Mini Lamps: Portable table lamps that usually have a shade of 4″ wide or smaller and a height of no more than 6″. They may be viewed as Tiffany table lamps or Tiffany accent lamps.
Mini Lamp: A portable table lamp that generally has a shade of 4″ to 8″ wide and a height of no taller than 15″. these may be viewed as Tiffany table lamps.

This is used for indirect and defused lighting. Like many Tiffany style lighting fixtures, this works best when controlled by a dimmer switch. Iridescent Glass: This is glass with a colorful shimmering effect created when a layer of metallic oxide is bonded to hot glass. This may be seen in all types of Tiffany style lighting. Island Pendant: This is a ceiling fixture, usually multi shaded, horizontally hung and generally best suited for a kitchen island or a billiard table. Also known as Tiffany oblong pendants, Tiffany hanging lamps, Tiffany style pendant lamps, and Tiffany billiard lamps. There is a specialty Tiffany Coke Cola oblong pendant light available.

Tiffany flushmount fixtures come in a wide variety of colors and themes. They are available with matching Tiffany wall sconces, Tiffany table lamps, and Tiffany floor lamps.
Glass Jewel: Pieces of hot glass that are press-molded into a jewel like shape. They may be best viewed on Tiffany chandeliers, Tiffany table lamps, Tiffany floor lamps, Tiffany torchieres, and Tiffany pendant lights.
Granite Glass: This is a texture with the appearance of granite that is applied to hot glass sheets with an embossed roller. This technique can be viewed on Tiffany pendant lights, Tiffany vanity lights, Tiffany accent lamps and Tiffany chandeliers.
A great many people are very passionate about their Tiffany lamp collections. They get very involved with the history of Louis Comfort Tiffany and all the beauty his creations have brought into their lives. This may be viewed on Tiffany table lamps, Tiffany floor lamps, Tiffany hanging pendants, Tiffany wall sconces and Tiffany chandeliers.
Firescreen: A functional fireproof screen that covers the opening of a fireplace while in use. May be seen as Tiffany firescreen or Tiffany stained glass windows.
Floor Lamp: A portable lamp with a shade that directs the light downward and has a height usually taller than 48″. Available as a Tiffany floor lamp. This is the opposite of a Tiffany torchieres which is a Tiffany floor lamp that directs the light upward.

Fireplace Screen: A decorative screen that covers the opening of a fire place when not in use. May be seen as Tiffany fireplace screens or as Tiffany stained glass windows.
